GUARDIAN ANGELS PROGRAM FOR DOGS
Many people who visit our website would love to provide a home for one of our dogs, but aren't able to adopt at this time. Others would like to honor a special person or pet and still others would like a gift for a difficult-to-buy-for friend or relative.
For these people, the SPCA of Northern Virginia has created a program called Guardian Angels that helps provide for our dogs until they can be placed into loving homes. For a minimum of $10 per month for 3 months ($30 total), you can become a Guardian Angel to a dog of your choice until it is placed into a home. Your $30 helps defray the cost of feeding, training, and veterinary care for your chosen dog.
In return, you will receive:
- Pictures and updates
- Copies of write-ups
- Peace of mind

Luckily (hence my name), a wonderful man working for the U.S. State Dept. rescued me. He and his wife took me in and when I was old enough, got me shots and had me spayed. But they already have another former street dog and their schedules don't allow enough time for an energetic young lady like me. The SPCA found me a good one but I ruined things by being too pushy with the resident dog. So I have to be an only dog in a family that will give me enough exercise.
