SPECIAL CATS FOR SPECIAL PEOPLE

JULIUS

Name: Julius
Description: Long-haired Orange
Sex: Male
Born: June 2006

Julius is one of those truly amazing, resilient cats! He is so sweet and trusting. He bonds with people and settles into a new home very quickly. Julius LOVES to cuddle and likes to follow his foster mom around her apartment. He is happiest sitting at your feet, squeezing next to you on the couch, curling up on your lap, or sleeping next to you in bed. He's also very quiet and well-mannered - he doesn't meow much and when he does its very soft. Julius was found by a loving family who had seen him roaming their neighborhood for a while. He gained their trust after a few weeks of food and shelter in their garage. Sadly, life on the streets had been a little rough on Julius. At some point he was neutered and put back outside where he apparently contracted feline AIDs (FIV) and injured his right eye. Nonetheless, he is a young and otherwise healthy cat who is expected to live for many years to come. His right eye doesn't bother him or require any special care. Its simply "clouded over" with scar tissue from an old wound. Julius is relishing in the love and warmth of an indoor home. We think he knows he has finally been "rescued." All he needs now is a permanent home to love him back.

CATS, CATS AND MORE CATS...

ABIGAIL, JACK & TABITHA

These sweetheart's are Lacy's kittens. They have a strong desire to love and be loved. They are playful, fun and energetic, yet as cuddly as can be. They adapt very quickly to new homes and new caretakers. If adopted singly, they must be adopted into homes with a young cat to bond with. Abigail and Tabitha make an especially good pair. Jack can be a little too rambunctious for his sisters and would do best with a young male cat to play with.

Name: Abigail
Description: Medium-haired buff tabby
Born: February 2008
Sex: Female

Abigail is the sweetheart of the bunch. Although she is very playful, she is usually ready before her siblings to "give it a rest" and seek out a comfy lap for a purring session. She is the perfect "lap kitty in the making" and loves to have her belly rubbed! Abigail has slightly longer hair than her sister, Tabitha, but she is not as fluffy as her brother, Jack!

Name: Jack
Description: Long-haired gray
Born: February 2008
Sex: Male

Jack is a fluffy bundle of energy who loves to run, jump and play with his sisters. He's usually the first to "get going" and the last to stop playing! Jack is very easy to entertain and loves to chase strings, feathers and anything that dangles or moves. His favorite "targets," though, are his sisters! Once his energy is spent, he loves to curl up with either his siblings or his foster parents for a well deserved rest. Jack also has a very loud purr!

Name: Tabitha
Description: Short-haired buff tabby
Born: February 2008
Sex: Female

Tabitha is an incredibly loving and playful kitten. She has very distinct and pretty markings which make it easy to tell her apart from her sister. Tabitha loves to rough-house and is never far behind Jack in attempting to "breakout" from their kitten room. She is also very easygoing, and bonds very quickly with humans. Tabitha loves to cuddle and will spend quite a bit of time making sure she finds the absolutely perfect position in your lap before she curls up for a nap.

ALLIE

Name: Allie

Description: Dilute calico/tortoiseshell

Sex: Female

Born: April 2005

Allie is a sweet, adorable, and well-mannered young kitty! Her foster mom describes her as affectionate yet independent. Allie is quick to respond to her foster mom's call not knowing if this means its time to play, get her head rubbed, or get a treat! She likes to play but is not overly rambunctious. She loves "hide-n-seek" -- running and hiding to urge her foster mom to come and find her! Allie also enjoys hanging out in front of the window watching the birds, squirrels and other activities. Allie is not a cuddler but does enjoy affection and follows her foster mom from room to room. She also greets her foster mom at the door when she comes home from work. Her greetings are very quiet and polite as "Allie Girl" has very good manners! Allie likes to take naps next to her foster mom when she's watching TV or reading a book, and sleeps next to her in bed at night. We have not seen Allie interact with other cats, but we think she would enjoy the company of another sweet, friendly young cat to play with.

She's also quite easy-going and trusting, and settled in very easily with her foster parents. Even on the her first night with them, Ashley purred and gave them a kitty kiss. She had a very rough beginning when first rescued by SPCA needing emergency surgery to remove stillborn kittens. Ashley seems to have completely forgotten about her ordeal and is an absolutely delightful kitty!

After asking around, he learned that she belonged to a neighbor who simply put her outside saying she couldn't care for her anymore. He also likes playing a little "rough and tumble" with the other cat in his foster home. He would do well with a young, friendly male cat in his home. Cedric enthusiastically chases feathers tied to a piece of string and rubs against your leg when he wants a cuddle. Cedric was brought to a local shelter when his family decided they didn't have time for him anymore. Hard to imagine this sweet cat ending up at a shelter.  He has become fast friends with his foster buddy, Panda  - they like to chase each other and talk back and forth with little "chirping" noises. These boys can be adopted singly or as a pair. Cedric would do well with a family with kids - he is very confident and friendly, as well as gentle but playful.
