 | Weight Watchers, here I come! But if you'll adopt me and put me on the right diet, maybe that won't be necessary. My owners took me to a shelter just before Christmas (how's that for "Christmas spirit"?) but a nice lady got me out just before the worst was about to happen. I love people of all ages, I ride quietly in a car, and I'm clean in my crate. Don't you think that's a good start for a family pet?

 | No doubt you know that my breed faces more than its share of discrimination; some buildings won't even allow us as tenants. I'll admit that I can be dog aggressive but I like humans and since pit bulls are a loyal breed, I'm looking for an individual who will appreciate that. Will you?

 | Sometimes life doesn't turn out as expected. I had a good home when I was adopted from the SPCA but now my family has to give me up. I need a quiet environment, preferably with one person. I'm a pretty big guy, so a home with a fenced yard to romp in (with supervision) would be nice, although not essential.

 | A family tragedy has put me in the position of needing a new home. I should go to a person/family who has a yard with a high fence where we can play.  | Yuk! Cat food is okay when it's all a dog can scrounge up when she's lost, cold and hungry, but I'm sure glad I entered the trap the SPCA set for me. Better food now, and I'm warm again. I'm a lady of a "certain age," but even in dog years, not old. And I'm sweet natured, if a bit shy at first. I prefer to call it modesty. Please come to visit me and you can judge for yourself.

 | I was adopted from SPCA/NOVA a couple of years ago by a family that loved me very much. Their situation has changed, though, and they have had to return me. I'm a real "people" dog who loves to be petted and cuddled. I need a fenced yard, and if there are kids, they can play Frisbee there with me. (So can grown-ups.) If you must be at work all day, I'll need a walker. Maybe one who will take me to a dog park. I love dog parks!
