MEET OUR CATS
You can meet our cats either:
1) By Appointment in Foster Homes - weeknights or weekends
NOTE: CATS/KITTENS can be visited in their foster homes by appointment.
There are many benefits to meeting a prospective new cat in their foster home instead of an adoption fair or animal shelter. Meeting them in an environment they are comfortable with will give you a better perspective about the cat's personality and temperament.
2) At PetValu Stores in Loudoun and Fairfax Counties
We house kittens, and some adult cats, at PetValu stores as noted below.
PetValu - Purcellville, VA (during the summer - often during the week and always on weekends)
120 Purcellville Gateway Drive, Suite A/B
Purcellville, VA 20132
(by the Harris Teeter)
For the Purcellville store: You can stop by during store hours to see cats/kittens or arrange in advance to meet an SPCA volunteer there. Note: You will be able to get details about our kittens/cats and handle them ONLY when a volunteer is present.
PetValu - Fairfax, VA (during summer - designated Saturdays noon - 3pm)*
Pan Am Shopping Center
3069 Nutley St SW
Fairfax, VA 22031
Note: For Saturdays we are at this store, we note above kittens' names on our Cat Adoption Page which ones will be at this store - go to: http://www.spcanova.org/adoption/catlist.php
For both stores: The best way to determine which kittens/cats will be at the store is to send us an email: email@example.com. Please don’t call – our phone volunteers do not have this information. Also, look at our cat adoption page toward the end of the week/weekend – we generally note which kittens/cats will be at the store above their photos. While we keep our cat adoption page as current as possible, we sometimes have other kittens/cats at the store that aren’t posted yet on our website.
We will also host periodic adoption fairs with volunteers in attendance. We post this information on this page and our home page
Let us know which cat(s)/kitten(s) you would like to meet. Or let us know if you need suggestions. One of our Adoption Counselors
will contact you to review our policies, discuss which cats/kittens are compatible with your home, and arrange a visit.
Email: firstname.lastname@example.org (best way to reach us)
Phone: 703-799-9390 (Note: phone calls are retrieved from a voice mail system only once a day and volunteers do not have cat-specific information)
